Young people who live with the weight of the Long COVID have spoken of quitting and are forced to “fight” to access to NHS support.
Kyle, 17, once in a contractor who hoped to represent his country, developed the virus at his 12th birthday and still had symptoms, including dizziness and asthma, which led to his loss of school and quit the sport he loves.
According to the National Statistics Office, two million people in the UK have COVID-19.
The Welsh government has said it has increased the money available to support those suffering from the virus’s long-term health effects.

“Signs were “surprising, sometimes shortness of breath, slowness, pain in my chest and back vertebrae and sometimes my brain fog,” he said.

Kylie’s mother, Sarah, said the initial mental and physical support she received from the service of the local health board was very good.

“We have five years and I still have to see it about suffering, loss of things and worried about how it is going to be held with its future.

The health board of Swansea Bay said “a lot of apologies” Betan felt that he had not been properly supported by the disease.
