Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, insisting he must stay at the last games this season.
The 43-year-old Spaniard is among the names that are reportedly seen as a replacement if he leaves Carlo Ancelotti this summer.
Alonso’s interesting duration at Leverkusen — to guide them to the Premier League title and win the Bundesliga in their first full season—make a hot horizon throughout Europe.
Despite rumors of lifting, Alonso asked at his last press conference about his future when asked about his future.
“It’s not a good time to talk about the future. We are at a very important moment of the season,” he said.
“I don’t want to talk about what is happening, but what is more important to me is what is happening right now.

Currently, Leverkusen Bayern Munich on six points and just five games left in the Premier League campaign, no room to be busy while pushing another strong ending and relying on back titles.
CEO Fernando Caro also said Alonso feels “comfortable” at the club and is already involved in planning next season.
Meanwhile, Jürgen Klopp – another manager with Real Madrid – is unlikely to return to the margins soon. “Jurrgen is very happy with his new role as the World Cup president in Redbul,” Mark Cossi’s agent told Sky on Friday.
As for Alonso, this is not the first time it has been linked to the main clubs. Last year, he had a relationship with Real Madrid, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
Alonso was a decorated player who enjoyed a six-year star with Real Madrid between 2009 and 2014, winning both the La Liga and the Champions League.
He ended his career at Bayern Munich in 2017 before being coached.
