
Magil admitted that Northern Ireland was tired of Friday’s draw in Bucharest, where their inability to change their chances and pass defenders.
“I think in the last third we know we can be more clinical; we will rise 1-0 away from home and we know we want to be our second goal,” he said.
“We learn a lot from the moments we learn and I think we are developing in aspects such as playing games and trying to tighten things. We really need to work on crushing these areas.
“We are tired of many aspects of the show that we can be better, but I don’t think we are very hopeless, we have to take the point and go back and try to take the three points on Tuesday.
Birmingham City striker has played a deeper role in the last window, scoring 3-2 against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
He returned to a more familiar role in the central striker against Romania, but continued to depth to start the attacks, something he says he worked on.
“Last year, I started doing that, both here for Northern Ireland and for the club, it’s just a slight increase in experience than the areas we have lost in recent years with young players coming in,” Magil said.
“It’s definitely an area I’ve tried to fit with, so it provides another option for Tanya (Oxobi).
