Ferguson has played for Italy since 2022 and won the captain a year later, and has been named midfield for the 2023-24 season.

By leaving the challenges of life and playing abroad, Ferguson lost more than 200 days of football after the injury of the knee ligament in April 2024, and a backbone threatened to reject it in the final Wednesday.
“All these difficult times have dealt with the injury throughout the past year.
“I haven’t played outside Scotland before, so to go to a new country and people here to welcome you, you want to pay them back at night like Wednesday.
“To see what you get out of their numbers, we left the pitch before the game just to watch a little and the Bologna ended the previous one. They used to sing, the flags were everywhere. I gave me that.
“To see their faces in the end, when the referee made the final bullet, it was amazing,” he said.
“Many people cry, people jump about celebrations, something they haven’t seen in a long time. The relationship between players and fans is unbelievable.
