Ernesto Valverde hopes Nico Williams will stay at Atletico Bilbao “For many years” while he talks about the future of the Spanish star while enjoying another great season.
Williams has played an important role in sporting sporting for the Champions League qualifiers and two games out of the Europa League final at the San Mamés.
The 22-year-old, who scored in England last year in England last year, has scored 11 goals and seven assists this season.
He is reportedly attracting attention from Barcelona, Arsenal and Chelsea. But Valverde is unnecessarily unwilling to lose him.
“Niko is a very important player for us, that’s true,” Valverde said.

In response to a question about the discussions around him, Williams insisted that he was only focused on winning United.
“I don’t want to look more,” Williams said. “I’ve always wanted to play in the European competition and feel important, I’m very happy here.
