The Ministry of Defense is scheduled to submit a new voluntary and pension cycle to the civilian work forces, but the details are small.
In a brief memorandum, Secretary of Defense Pentagon said the Pentagon “immediately” voluntarily voluntary retirement and another delayed resignation plan will begin. He warned that “forgiveness must be rare,” but he has not given any features about how the offers will be or whether they will go out to the entire civil work force, which is more than 900,000 people.
And, while he signed the memorandum on Friday, it was not published to Pentagon leaders until Monday, and there was no information about when and how the offers would be distributed and when the deadlines would be.
In the memorandum, Hegesett said he wanted to use voluntary programs to “adversely contribute to reduce the number of unwilling things that may be necessary.
The cuts are part of the broad efforts of Trump’s billionaire adviser Elon Musk of the government’s efficient ministry to reduce the federal labor force and the dissolution of US agencies.
In mid-March, a senior defense official said about 50,000 to 60,000 civilian jobs would be deducted from the Defense Ministry in an attempt to achieve 5 percent to 8 percent of the job.
The official said less than 21,000 workers who had received their first voluntary resignation offer would leave in the coming months, provided they were not named to provide details of employees. In addition, the Pentagon hopes to reduce about 6,000 posts a month alone by not changing workers who go routinely.
Officials did not say several civilian civilians had accepted the initial offer – known as “the knife on the road” but rejected. In some cases, the supervisors considered the employees necessary for national security.
According to the new memorandum, the Service Secretary and other department leaders will provide a new proposed organizational draw with unified management, the titles of posts and numbers “clearly imaginary” until April
