The Italian manager says Chelsea fans should trust them.

Chelsea manager Inzu Mareska has asked fans to trust them, saying the team will improve under his leadership.

The 45-year-old, the player, made fun of some fans while losing to Ipswich at home on Sunday in a 2-2 draw.

After the game, the coach accused his supporters of creating an environment that forced his team to lose his way – between criticism of his tactics, the way he plays and insist on playing behind.

When asked if he trusted football, he could host Chelsea fans. “I can’t do a different style,” Maresca said.

“The message (D) with (he) the fans (from behind us) we are the best team. I fully understand that as a team, we have to distract our fans.

One of the goals before Chelsea’s season was to qualify for the Champions League, but Sunday’s draw is sixth in the Premier League.

“I think we’ve proved this season (which we move forward) even if it’s sometimes difficult outside,” he said, adding that Mareska tried to defend her record as Chelsea’s manager so far.

“In the past two years, Chelsea have been zero in four times. This season we have been in four startings for most of the season. I don’t know why – I wasn’t here last season or two years ago.

But I think the fans have to trust us and what the team is doing now because if Chelsea haven’t been the four best in the past two seasons, and Chelsea have been in the four years this season.

“For me, is that enough? No, because I want to fight for the titles, to fight for the Premier League and the Champions League.

Chelsea’s next chance of impressing fans in the quarter-finals of the European Union conference against Liga Warsaw in Stamford Bridge, the Blues 3-0 in Poland’s first game.

“We can reach the semi-finals of Europe, yes, it’s not the champions of the club, but it’s still a European competition. It is quite clear, the direction and the style is true.

“Previously, we were the third best defender and the fourth or fifth striker. After Ipswich, we will be sad and try to win more to reach the Champions League.

“You’ll definitely hear this on the pitch and you’ll eventually tell yourself that the fans weren’t behind us, but we’re playing for Chelsea. We’re all here. We all come to the pitch to support this team.
