When Anthony joined, Betis sat in the 10th La Liga, but six consecutive wins – a 2-1 victory over Sevilla – taking them to sixth on six points from the Champions League.
Betis has not played in European major races since 2005-06, and Anthony’s keeping this season is now a strong possibility.
Betis has no choice on a loan deal, but Anthony himself appears open to extend his stay in Spain.
“I thank United for everything. I lived difficult moments at United, but I’m very good,” he said.
“Also today I’m preparing to be here, I’m enjoying myself. And good, I’m here today, I’m very happy.
