Sophel Engel, who wins the Welsh league five times and five times in the Women’s Premier League, will leave Chelsea at the end of his summer.
The midfielder, who represents the Blues for the first time from 2012 to 2014, returned to Chelsea in 2018 after playing for the Bristol and Liverpool Academy.
In his second game with the club, the 33-year-old Wales player won five WSL titles, three FA Cups, two league cups and social shields.
He has also played in the 2021 Champions League final, which Chelsea lost to Barcelona and was nominated in 2020 for the FIFA Puska Award.
England made 214 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 12 goals.
He has missed this season after a cruise forward cruise injury in a pre-season game against Fyenord in September 2024.
“Chelsea is a special club and since I returned seven years ago, I have felt everyone’s support, both on and off the pitch,” Engel said.
“I’m so proud that I have 11 cups here and I’m grateful for doing it alongside teams of Tim’s friends who are like families for me.
“Sofi has been an important part of the success we have achieved over the past seven years. He has played a key role in driving standards inside and outside the pitch and has been the leader in the dressing room,” she added.
“He will be lost, but we appreciate his desire to search for more opportunities when he returns to complete bodybuilding.
