Slot, the hottest candidate to win the Premier League, will host Everton’s local rivals on Wednesday after the international holiday.
“The situation is unfortunate that he was injured, otherwise people may have said he had a brighter level for the England,” the Liverpool manager said Tuesday.

“But he was wounded and for him it means that he is fully focused on his recovery and for us, we are trying to help him return as soon as possible.
