And Salah revealed that the idea that he might leave at the end of the season has helped him with the fuel of his excellent season.
In an interview with French football, Salah said: βIt was still a possibility, yes.
βIn the end, everything is fine that ends well: We are champions and I will stay for another two seasons.
“I think it was a great benefit in the end because I had the best season of life.
“I had this thinking: If the club didn’t want to extend my contract, we would have any worries.
Salah has made his second win in the Premier League first time, and Liverpool have failed to celebrate with fans after doing so in the 2019-20 season due to the coronavirus pandemic that stopped the season before it resumes without fans.
“I even said it was my main goal,” he said. “This is the first time in my career that I have put the top of the Champions League,” he said.
“It was so heartbreak that we couldn’t celebrate with our fans in 2020, because of the epidemic, which I wanted to, with the whole team, offer this to the fans and our city.
