
Rorry McLelon, the world’s number two, says it will deal with a knee issue before the Masters.
The Irishman finished fifth in the Houston Open on Sunday after the final stages of the six subsidies, including 64 players, but said he had “sales” knee.
Masters, the only player of the four key players who have yet to win, will be held on April 10-13 in August.
“My right knee is a little bit, so I might only have some treatments and I’m sure it’s good to go into August,” the 35-year-old told Golf.
“My coach Michael Bannon will come in tomorrow, we will do some things and make sure everything is in good shape for a week,” he said.
Machelroy, who was his last great victory at the 2014 PGA 2014, is trying to finish a Grand Slam in August in August.
The famous is the way to end the final stage in 2011 before the end of the 15th and second after Scott Schiffler three years ago.
The four-time starting champion will be the start of the 2025 PGA Tour in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am and Players tournament.
“It’s a solid week in Texas,” Machilrooy said.
“(I) I still don’t think my game is 100 percent under the control I want, but it’s nice to have a week to work on some things.
