“But he is still very young, he must learn, he needs to work hard and needs to be developed with certainty.
“But we’re happy, they just told me that we’ve given the academy first eight times this season. I think it’s good.
“Walsh now needs to focus on his GCSE,” Maresca added. “This is the most important thing for him at this moment, undoubtedly!”
Walsh is a technical midfield in terms of technical and has played more for the Under-18 club this season, scoring four goals and two assists in 15 appearances, and two games for the Under-21 club.
At the age of seven, he joined Chelsea and advanced through older groups in Kobham and grew up in western London. He represents England, under the age of 15 to under 17 years.
