Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe has been fined for a red card against Alavs.

“Mbappe: Suspension of a single game due to a violent incident that occurs during the game or in a direct result of an incident related to the games, more fines under Article 52 of civil law,” the Spanish Football Federation said in a statement.

A ban on one game means Mbappe will play La Liga at home against Atletico Bilbao on Sunday.

Madrid are second in La Liga, four points behind leaders Barcelona.

Mbappe has scored 33 goals in 49 appearances this season.

Carlo Ancelotti host Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday night, straining the 3-0 defeat in London.
