
For the first time, Rangers has confirmed that they are in talks with US investors, including the San Francisco 49ers, on the possibility of seizure of the club.
Interesting reports appeared for the first time earlier this year, but Ibruss has announced that “productive talks” continue.
In a joint statement, Ranjers also added that investors are likely to seek a controlled share.
No one has mentioned the temporary line for any contract, although sources close to the negotiations have previously said a deal is expected to be completed between April and June.
“The current controlled shareholders and shareholders are in productive discussions with the two main members of the consortium, Andrew Cavena and the 49ers Enterprises, on the ability of consortium to get control and inject extra capital,” the statement said.
“These discussions reflect a common recognition of the importance of direction, aspirations and long-term management of Rangers FC.
The BBC Sport has previously reported that Leeds United President Parag Marat and 49ers Enterprises – the French NFL 49ERS investment wing – is a key player in the expected players of Rangers.
The development comes just two days after Eland Rod qualified for the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Everton football manager Kevin Tellell has now been appointed as their new sporting director.
The 51-year-old has previously confirmed that he will leave Mercedes this summer.
