Alexis Prince was admitted in the third round of 2017 by Phoenix Mercury after succeeding at the University of Baylor.
However,, like most of the third round of WNBA, Prince failed to find a long-term home in the league. He appeared about half of Mercury’s games in his new season, an average of 7.2 minutes a night, then in a pair of games for Atlanta’s dream of the following year, and then went abroad before returning to Wnba in 2020, where he signed with Chicago Sky.

The 31-year-old has played for several foreign teams, including French club Tarbes Gespei (2018-19), Turkish Hattispor (2020-23), Spanish CB Avenida (2023-24), and Israeli Eltzur Ramla (2024).
On Thursday, Mercury announced that Prince had signed a training camp with the team, which means the former Baylor player will give WNBA another game. Five years have passed since the last time in a Wnba — 9 minutes out of aerial match in 2020 — and the relationship between the training camp is no guarantee. However, it is a sign of the guard’s relentless desire to try to find a place in the basketball competition for women.
Alexis Princess can bring him to a WNBA team
On 6’2, Prince bucket is a journey that was very skilled in Israel this winter. Prince has an average of 19.3 points per game by 52.4% of the penalty. He also scored an average of 8.4 penalties, 3.1 assists and 1 block, scoring 36.9 percent of three goals.
Mercury currently has 16 players who have contracts with training camps, so at least four will be cut before the season. If Prince can show that he can score at a high level and constantly defend the method he has done in college, he can find himself to get one of those places.
Mercury will be around three of their news at Elissa Thomas, Cahli Miss and Sato Sabali next season. All three players can score at a high level and at best, they must be able to form a terrible squad that competes with their best.

However, the basketball is a 5-5 game, and around Thomas, Miss, and Sabali, Phoenix will need to rely on the length of the players. Some of them, such as the former center of Dallas Kalani’s wings, Turkish guard Sevgi Ozon, and Australian Guard Sami Whitcome, have already proved the WNBA experience.
However, for many people, the training camp will be an opportunity to show that they have what they need to participate in the best basketball league for a team that hopes to compete for the tournament. Prince, who started working in the Pro in Phoenix nearly ten years ago, shows that he has what he needs.
