City were out 1-0 during a break, but Erling Holland and Omar Marmush’s goals took him back to the seventh semi-finals of the FA Cup in a row.
The only chance of winning a local Cup will remain in fifth place in the Premier League.
City have won six of their last seven Premier League titles under Guardiola.
In the current squad, goalkeeper Ederson, defender John Stones, midfielder Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva and Kevin de Bruyne were at the club for all.
“There are minimal conditions we have to show us – Respecting your spouse, you have to do that. And today we did that,” Guardiola said.
“I spoke to the team in the first half so we’re fine. We’re in your hands.
“This means how Bernardo, Kova (Mateo Kovacic), the top players, the legendary players who give the most unbelievable things at the club, take one step again and performed greatly.
Guardiola has only failed to win a trophy in a season, after the start of the game in 2008 – his first season with City in the 2016-17 season.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich midfielder have been asked why he has been missing this season.
“It was a lot, many things. I write in my memoirs. Many. Not just one,” he said.
“And he put the Pep on the list.
