Scottish tournament: Livingston and Air Jostle for second – BBC
Livingston can keep their thin chances to win the tournament at the home side for Air United, but Friday’s BBC Scotland’s Live is more likely to say who won second place.
David Martineel, the lion coach, won the title a few weeks ago and his team is six behind Falkerk and three games left.
He will need a dramatic collapse from John McGllin to Livingston to put them on them in the post.
By a different goal, Falkerk could be the second time in a row at home to Rice Rovers on Saturday at West Lossian.
The second place is still important because it means leaving the first round of the Premier League. After a second-placed season of fatigue, the lighter status cannot be underestimated.
Ire United are five points behind Livingston and have to avoid losing to stay in the second.
The honest men then end against Queens Park and Irdrians, while Levengeston faces Hamilton Academy and Playoff, who is looking for a particise Test.
Considering that all four of these opponents have their own burning problems, nothing in this unpredictable part of the unprecedented part is normal.
Interestingly, both Livingston and Ire United have enjoyed the days out of the pitch this season, and all of them have all achieved from the previous three encounters.
Levingston’s last game in February won 2-1, with Robbie Moirheed winning the winner at the Somerset Park. Moirheed was also at the goal stadium in Airshair at the October meeting, which again won 2-1 for the lions.
United was the team that celebrated in December because of George Ockle’s solitary confinement.
Although they have good luck on the road, Livingston should be considered their own willingly taking into account their better form.
After interruption at the end of February and March, Livingston has returned strongly to win their last four games – including the demolition of 5-0 in Queen’s park to lift the SPFL Trust Cup.
Ayr, meanwhile, has only won one of the six wins, although they drew 1-1 with Falkerk in front of the BBC Scotland’s BBC on Friday.
