The US Navy wants to know whether its motorcycle drones can do what bigger horse helicopters and Teltrotors are currently doing – a critical repair flight to broken warships.
Critical repairs for incompetent warships, such as circular boards, O, or pump, is about half of the weight less than the pound. The current transmission route wastes fuel and other sources and puts many unnecessary items on the H-60 military suitcase aircraft and V-22.
Nobody really needs a heavy plane and aviation team for this. It’s not just a proven alternative, at least it hasn’t been yet.
Solving the problem—which is the main logistics project of the Blue Water naval logistics — is a major opportunity for defense technology companies such as Pterodynamics Inc.
“Something is valuable. You need to reach a difficult place to get there. It must reach it quickly. It is sensitive to time. And people are paying a lot of money today to do that,” Grachik told Business Insider.

Several companies have participated in the Bluewater UAS idea, mostly classical designs. Transwing, as a designed design – or “voice-blan”, is special.

‘The world is changing’
The Bluewater UAS technology development program began years ago, from a 2018 study that detected about 48 percent of all important repairs that are transported by plane to ships under military suitcases under 16 ounces, smaller than a normal water bottle. The study found that 76% of all sections are below 10 pounds, and 90% are below 50 pounds.
The navy wants to determine whether VTOL drones weighing under £330 can perform these delivery functions instead of team aircraft.
The drones must be able to travel 400 miles and return, perhaps 1,000 miles, on a mixture of electricity and fuel JP-5 with a 50-pound shipment stored domestically and landed on the ground without any support infrastructure and minimal infrastructure.
