Osasuna’s call for Inigo Martinez’s right to play against them has been rejected.
Martinez has not joined the Spanish squad for the recent international holidays with a knee injury.
FIFA rules ban a player from playing for the club within five days – unless he is not allowed by the National Football Federation – if he has not joined his country when he calls him.
Barca’s 3-0 victory in Osasuna in La Liga, which was reorganized on March 8 after the death of Dr. Carles Minaro Garcia, came a day after the end of the international window – four days after the La Liga clash with the Netherlands.
Martinez beat Osasuna in full 90 minutes on March 27 and Baskey began a complaint with the Real Madrid Football Federation (FEF).
But the RFEF compete believed there was no violation by Barcelona because the player’s withdrawal process was properly and according to the rules.
Osasuna plans to file a second appeal against the RFEF appeals committee.
Barcelona are four points clear at the La Liga top, while Osasuna are 13th.
