“It’s too early to respond to any decisive response. We don’t have yet to identify,” said Cesar Sampao, a former Santos coach.
“Now we really have to pray that it is not something that keeps it out for a long time.
Neymar returned to Santos in late January, making eight appearances, scoring three goals.
The former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain stars have not played for the national club since October
He was named in the Brazil squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Argentina and Colombia but was forced to withdraw with a hamstring injury.
Santos is currently 12th in the league after four games, one winning one, winning one and losing two.
