Bukayo Saka has been impressed by a friendly game in a back-off and has attended six consecutive training sessions, according to the club’s manager.

Saka is on the verge of returning to the Premier League against Fulham on Tuesday.

Arsenal and Saka: North London is six points clear at Liverpool’s lead when Saka was 12 points clear at the top of the game, while the international player was encouraged by Arte to take time and renew.

On Twitter, Arteta said the plan had been effective, adding that she was not worried about Saka’s retreat.

“We played once, but before that, Saka had six consecutive meetings with the team, and she was good,” Arteta told reporters.

“We played that game, he felt very well. That’s why I’m sure we’ve been able to repeat almost every scenario (can can face it).

“No (I don’t worry about hurting again), because he has done everything many times before.

“He needs to be exposed to games, but all the boxes that have to stir are there. The concern is that you are normally you are in a hurry.

“But it really has been good in the process and we have received a lot of confidence that it can do very well now.
