Michael Apple: Schrosbury Town president agrees with a two-year deal

Apple has been sacked since being sacked as Charlton in January 2024, after 10 games without a win.

Despite failing to stop their slides for the second round, the club have decided to stay with Apple – which is known for working with young players – because they plan to return to fourth in 10 years.

Schrosberg also confirmed that Apple’s assistant Richard Odonel will remain in his role before the 2025-26 season.

“The club has a clear vision of how the team wants to play,” Apple said. And I hope you have seen the kind of football that we work to introduce.

“The positive feedback I have had from its supporters has imagined. This identity is not only in a few weeks, but we have a long way to go.

“But Richard and I have decided to create a team that really will be proud of you next season.

Shrovsberg ended their first round of election campaign against Croil Town’s team-mates in Medu Crode on Saturday (15:00 BST).
