Vitor Pereira has denied short-term fears about Matthews Conha’s commitment to the wolves after the striker expressed his desire to leave.
Brazil International Counhay told the Observer that he had told the club they needed “to take the next step” and fight for titles in his career.
The former Atletico Madrid midfielder, who signed a four-and-a-half-year deal in February, is £62.5m.
Wolves are 17th and 9 on the top of the Premier League before Tuesday’s game against West Ham, and Pereira’s president has no immediate concern about the Kenha while the club are looking to secure the top flight.
“He’s committed. That’s now. The future, I don’t know,” Pereira said.
“He knows his abilities. He’s a key player, it’s normal that he wants to fight for titles. It’s natural. It happens with other players. But the most important thing is to adhere to the team to achieve our goals.
Conha, who scored Brazil’s 4-1 goal against Argentina last week, lost his 4-1 defeat to the World Cup, scoring 15 times this season.
He has been banned in the first half of his four games for banning him for incorrect, when he sent the FA Cup defeat to Wolves on March
The 25-year-old will sit outside Hamers on Saturday to visit Ipsuic before he is ready to face Tottenham on April
“The next game is noticeable,” Pereira added. The club’s attention will create part of the team, not for this game, but my focus is my team.
