Roserham United have signed Matt Hamshao’s permanent manager on a three-year deal with a permanent manager after winning three wins as observers.

The 43-year-old, who coached Millers under former manager Paul Warren, took responsibility for his first team after Steve Evans was sacked last month.

United then won in Northampton, at home in Blackpool and on the way to Bolton, despite a 3-1 defeat in Stockport last weekend Hamshau.

Hamshao will be linked with a move to the Premier League before he imposes his future with the first division.

President Toni Stewart said:, external “From a very initial stage, it was clear to us during his presidency that Matt was the only one we wanted to move forward.

“Matte is not only a unbelievable coach, but also an individual who feels that the club is both on and off the pitch,” he said.

“He is the kind of hardworking and heart-loving character that has achieved great success here in history and – as we did with Paul Warren when he took that step in the ranks of coaching – we see great potential among him as a leader.

The Milleries have moved away from problems to the 13th place on the table, and a point against Manchester United will secure their place mathematically in third place on the holy Friday.
