Enzo Maresca believes Chelsea will be a “better team” after they face Legia Warsaw in the Europa quarter-finals on Thursday.
Maresca is proud of 100 percent of the season’s record of the season and will be a strong candidate for their victory in the Polish capital.
The Blues hope to take the next step towards the first cup under the Italian. But the Londoners have a balance between European aspirations with support for the Champions League next season with fifth place in the Premier League.
And the latter insists that Maresca remains a priority.
“The main goal will be to end four key players and five key players in the Champions League next season,” Maresca said.
“But, especially because these clubs, fans and the institution, Chelsea must hold the competition as a club.
“We have been there throughout the season, we hope we can be there at the end.”

While Chelsea are expected to return in Poland, their manager believes the experience will only benefit his young man’s component.
“We can’t allow external things to change our way of thinking or the changes we are acting,” Maresca said.
“As a player, I played in four or five different teams that you can play the derby,” he said.
“I said we needed to experience such games, this kind of moment, that we will definitely go to a better team after tomorrow’s game because we need it,” he said.
“We are very young, but at the same time we need such games to be better.
Maresca, who has confirmed that defender Wesley Fufana will be out for the season after undergoing surgery, and to some extent arguing that Col. Palmer and Nicolas Jackson will rest in the Premier League against Brentford on Sunday.
“It seems outside, you’re taking it wrong because they didn’t play. They haven’t played, not because we want to rest for today.
“They didn’t play because there was a plan because Brentford had more than 24 hours than us because some of the players were tired,” he said.
