While United plans to make big things, they must prepare well to transfer important transmission windows that Skinner has always pointed out.
When they last entered Europe, United have signed goalkeeper Hinata Mizawa and goalkeeper Fallon Tulis-Joose and Brazilian wing.
But the American Tulis-Joyce hasn’t broken in the first team until this season, alongside Miaza, while Gaiz is now on loan at Gotte.
Skinner said they needed more physical and more experience, but this time the challenge is to hire players to make a quick difference.
“We haven’t stopped throughout the year to be honest in terms of our employment. We haven’t just waited,” Skinner said.
“Now we have that moment to think – but it’s a big summer for us, of course.
How can United be sure of a successful window?
The club is developing their own analytical system that is watching the data and statistics to help them see the talents that the players are suitable for.
Jason Wilcox technical director and head of employment Harvey Busel are working together to lead the task.
“It’s much stronger. It’s still in the early stages, but that’s the strategic path we’re going down,” Skinner said.
“We have spoken as a team, we will get the Champions League, then we have to look at the budget and how to advance in the market,” he said.
“We are in a competition market. So I have to try to find my expertise, how can I improve a player?
“They are the small details we have to work on.
