Manchester City striker Marie Faller is set to play a long-term game after the forward cruise knee tie overturned.

Australian international players have been ruled out of Sunday’s defeat to Manchester United with a hamstring injury.

The 22-year-old is close to secure the Australian Women’s and Friends’ Premier League against Argentina at the end of next month.

City says he will remain under the club’s medical team as he starts repairing.

It’s the latest injury to City, with a guarantee of ending the season without a trophy after Sunday’s defeat.

Alex Greenwood, Lerain wheat and Rez Shimizo all of them have been sidelined with a long-term knee injury, while strikers Vivian Medima and Khadija Shaw have been sidelined with injuries.

Laura Berkeld Brown and Ayaka Yamashita Auba Fujin, Gil Rord and Rebecca Knak are also on the injuries.
