Liverpool goalkeeper Alison Becker has withdrawn from the Brazilian squad after suffering a stroke with Colombia in Thursday’s World Cup qualifiers.
Alisson beat Colombia 2-1 with Colombia defender Davinson Sánchez on Saturday, with both players being forcibly out of action in the 78th minute.
Liverpool have now confirmed that Allison is scheduled to return to Mercedes by flight, where he will further evaluate the club’s medical staff.
Liverpool will return to the Premier League against Everton on April 2 with Argentina.
“The first step is to take the necessary tests and assessments and monitor the player in the next few days,” Lasmar said after Thursday’s game.
“Alyson is normal. I believe you have seen his pictures on the bench and after the game. Now it’s normal, without any complaints.
“When he was treated on the pitch, he didn’t report any anesthesia or loss of his memoir. He was aware of the whole time. We had a replacement because he had small complaints.
