However, if we talk about the cup and influence on the team-mates around them, then Carson is right alongside these legends of the city.
Just ask Pep Guardiola. The Catalan player has been able to offer the best city in modern times, but encourages young players to learn from the old goalkeeper.
“I’m happy at Manchester to know this guy,” Guardiola said. “Sometimes as a manager gives you the opportunity to know people like him – he is like a captain, he has created an incredible love for the team.
“The best advice I can give to young players is to stay around Scott Carson as much as I can in the dressing room and on the pitch.
“It would be better than being with me. If you spend a lot of time, listen to it and note, it’s the best advice and learning you can get about their future professions.
“Every second he trains and every minute you get to the pitch and in the change room (with Carson), you have a lot of value.
“It’s like young actors should be with the old actors on the set. They are smarter and have the values of the profession.
