Kyley Waker says he was “to cry on loan from Manchester City the day he joined AC Milan on loan.
Waker joined Milan on loan on loan in January after the city’s manager was out of favor under Pep Guardiola.
In his speech at the podcast of England defender Kylie Waker, he expressed his sadness in saying goodbye to not only his team-mates in his city, but all the coaches and staff of non-foot football at the club.
“He was there, Emma, who was behind the counter, offered food and brought you drink – even when I looked at him, I wanted to cry,” Waker says.
“Every day I told him (good) and suddenly I hug him and suddenly I don’t see him anymore.
“You don’t think that when the transitional process happens, it’s difficult when you come to say goodbye.
Waker insists he will not win anything against City, who has won 13 major trophies, but says he can’t reject the Italian club.
“I don’t have any bad words, nothing negative to say about City at all.
“When you take yourself on the bubble, you’re thinking about how happy you were. It’s no insult to any of the other clubs I’ve played for, but the seven years we had there, I don’t think it’s repeated in football.
Waker explained that the lack of time in playing at City and the desire to reach 100 England – Currently 95 – Factors also.

“It was a great salvation when England manager Thomas Tuchel gave me the relationship and we spoke. I even talked about moving to AC Milan with him and said he wanted to stay in Europe because he wanted to represent my country.
