Barcelona defender Inigo Martinez has refused to spit on Francisco Ascerb at Inter Milan in the Champions League semi-final defeat.
The alleged incident was allegedly ran as the defender Acerby ran to Martinez as Hakan Kalhanoglu’s penalty kicks, a little before the first half of the return leg at the San Siro on Tuesday.
“He celebrated in my ears. I didn’t need a reaction but he never spit on me,” Martinez told El Chiringuito TV.
“If I had, I would have been sent abroad, of course.
