Iny Aluko apologizes for proposing that Ian Wright prevented women’s opportunities to move in women’s football, insisting that “nothing but love and respect” for the former Arsenal striker.
In an interview with the BBC Radio 4 at the Women’s Clock at the BBC Radio 4, Aluko said, “Wruit must be careful” for the reputation of women’s coverage and a broader point that it was important women.
Wright has long defended women’s games and has paid for Stoke City’s McDonald’s recovery from ACL’s injury.
Aluko has been widely criticized for his remarks, not necessarily about the blocked route for women, but for the separation of Wright.
“In Wright is a brilliant broadcaster and an example of roles that have been important to support women’s games.
“In my interview with women’s watches this week, I was trying to present a broader point about women’s limited opportunities in football – whether it was coaching, broadcasting or business – and the importance of building more places for women to grow on the pitch.
“But it was wrong to be stimulated in the conversation. I have been sorry for this for that. I have known and worked with Ian for many years and I have nothing but love and respect for him.
