
Luis Hamilton took his first polar position for Ferrari when he held his head in the Sprint race for the Great Chinese Competition.
Hamilton beat Max Verstape in 0.018 seconds at Max Verstapeen, when the Maclareen challenge flees around the Shanghai Circle and starts a fast race in the front on Saturday.
Oscar Piastor came in third and Lando Noris, the winner of the Australian opening competition in last week, sixth after Ferrari and George Russell, Mercedes.
