Everton midfielder Everton has announced that his contract expires at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old Mali has made 165 appearances for Tafi since joining Watford from Watford for £20m in September

Dokour has scored 21 goals for Everton, including a 1-0 win over Bournemouth when the club avoided relegation on the last day of the 2022-23 season.

He will join the veteran midfielder Ashley Young, goalkeeper Asmir Begovic and Joao Virginia, while striker Dominic Calvert, Levin, Idris Goeu, Michael Keane and Simus Coleman left the game this summer.

In a video posted on social media, Dokour says: “HI Evertoonians – They just wanted to share this message with you that I leave football at the end of the season.

“After five great years, my time ended in Everton.

“Everton has a lot of meaning for me. Obviously it has been difficult for the past five years, but I always forget my time as a dream for me to play for Everton.

“Obviously I’m sad to leave the club, but I think it’s time for a new page for me and the club to be the same and I will always be grateful for the club have done it for me,” he said.

“I’m the best memories. I’ll say it’s the goal I’ve scored against Bournemouth to keep the club in the Premier League. I think this is something I’m always proud of,” he said.

“I miss the fans, I miss football, I just wanted to inform them that I have given everything every time in training, in the games.

“I’m always proud of wearing shirts, I’m always proud to play at Goodison Park.

The midfielder appeared to be emotional when they beat Southampton 2-0 in the second half of Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Everton at the Goodison Park Stadium.

The Tafis will move to Newcastle for their last Sunday’s last Sunday’s game (16:00 BST), before they are moved to the new Hill Diknson Stadium in Doke Bramly-Moor.

“I gave everything to win the most games I could and I just miss the place, and I wish them the best in the new stadium.

“Everton is always part of my life now. I’ll be blue forever. I always support Everton and I hope they have a bright future.
