No temporary frame for Eddie-hoe’s return to Newcastle has been given, but assistant Jason Tendel says the manager will return as soon as “100% ready.
Hoo was admitted to hospital on Friday and lost 4-1 to Manchester United on Sunday.
Also, in the next two games against Crystal Palace will not feature on Wednesday and Aston Villa remains responsible for the game.
“We have had the least debate since the announcement,” Tendal said.
“He is in the best hand and as soon as he feels he is willing to return 100 percent to lead the team,” he said.
The victory over Manchester United supported Newcastle to take the Champions League point, one point after Nottingam Forest in the Premier League and seven games left.
Newcastle’s Captain Bruno Guimarais and Harvey Barnes have devoted their performances to Hoo and say they want to “shess on his face.
In March, Hoo guided Newcastle for 70 years to win the Karabao Cup in Liverpool in Wembley.
Since November 2021, he has been in charge of the Magpay, where he replaced Steve Bruce.
“I haven’t spoken to Hoo about the team’s preparations, but he trusted the club’s leadership at such an important stage,” he said.
“We know the expectations and demands that we put each other on each other every day and every day, and it must stay that way until the manager returns.
“But we know what to do, we know how to prepare ourselves to make sure we can go and present the performances that the manager is proud of.
“This is part of my work and I do the best that I may be in his absence. We have worked together for 17 years, so we know what is expected of each other, and I hope I can convey the same messages he wants.
