Today he posted on X: “Hi Evertoonians, I just wanted to share the message I’m leaving football at the end of the season. After five years, my time ended in Everton.
“Everton has a lot of meaning for me. It has been difficult for me in the past five years. I always forget my time as a dream to play for Everton.
“When the opportunity came, I was very happy to have signed the club. My best memory will be the goal I have scored against Bournemouth to keep the club in the Premier League,” he said.
“I think this is something I’m always proud of. It was a great moment for me and my family, as well as for the club.
“I miss the fans, I miss football, I just wanted to know that I have given everything, every time in training and games.

Dokour was obviously emotional after being changed 2-0 in Southampton in the men’s Male final in Gudyson Park on Sunday.
