
Finally, a 17-year wait for Danny Welbeck ended.
For the first time in his career, the 34-year-old striker scored twice for the Premier League goal in a single season from a penalty scoring 2-0 at Wolves.
Brightening for Brighton while playing in his career, Welbeck’s latest contribution helped to make sure that the snake remains intensely in the battle to ensure European football, just two games left.
“This is a good squad – and I feel it could be more,” Welbeck, who ran in the Premier League in November 2008 at the age of 17, said.
“I’m happily waiting for me to improve. We have two more games left and I hope to achieve some more goals.
Most of the former Manchester United, Arsenal and Watford players have been upset due to a problem of injuries, at least before coming to the southern coast.
But now he has made 29 appearances for the first time in three consecutive seasons, helping him in his last goals in 10 goals in a season.
He has scored 12 goals for Manchester United in the 2011-12 season.
“First of everything I need to thank the medical department, Danny is on the pitch. Danny has never been so long for us as he had this season,” said Brighton manager Fabyen Herzeyller.
“Donal is a private character, an incredible example for everyone, especially young players, both on the stadium and on his side.
“Aboval, he’s a big goalkeeper. I’m really happy for him to have this.
