Xabi Alonso has confirmed that he will leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
Former Liverpool and Real Madrid, 43, won the Premier League title last season and lost to Atalanta in the Europa League final.
Alonso was contacted by two previous clubs but was chosen to stay. Instead, Liverpool have named Arn Slot, who won the Premier League title.
