Chris Wood received a yellow card to sign and photo with fans during the World Cup qualifiers on Thursday.

Nottingham Forrest striker, who has scored 18 goals in the Premier League this season, has reached the international stage of the 2014 World Cup quarter-final against Fiji. It was his second hat-trick for New Zealand in several games.

Wood replaced him at an hour, after scoring his third goal and standing at Willington. He entered the pitch to mix with his supporters and was given a yellow card on his way back.

The 33-year-old will still be present in the Ocean final on Monday in Aokland against New Zealand.

“If that is the law, it is the laws,” Wood said.

“The only nice thing and trying to sign for the fans.

A win will lead to automatic qualifications for the 2026 World Cup for all whites, in their first appearance in the 2010 tournament.
