Pistry was the fastest in both rounds in the final part of the qualifications and received his class from Russell in 0.082 seconds.
Norris frustrated his last route after a mistake in the middle of the lap, giving Rosel the opportunity to move forward.

It was the first time in his career in his career for a big race, although there were two poles for a quick race before.
“It’s a lot of q3, (i) only a lot of speed, Q1 and Q2 I really struggled, but the car was alive in Q3 and I think I did it, and the laps were a little bad.
“The first lapt was better than the second stage, it lost a couple of 10 10 and then I thought: ‘Why don’t you send it to the hair finger?’ And he won the 0.2Secs and found a little more for the final angle.
“I was supposed to take that page. I’m glad I didn’t.
“Oscar is worth it. He has done a very good job at the end of the week. That’s the first pole, and that’s always nice. Only a couple of mistakes from me, he felt much more comfortable for the car.
Russell said he was surprised at the distribution of McLarens.
“He feels incredible if I am honest,” he said. “One of the most difficult confines I’ve held over a long time.
“I’m trying all its types in my preparations with the tires and nothing seemed to click on it. I tried something completely different in the last round and made all the differences.
“I had a big moment in the first turn but everything came together. I was really surprised. I knew it was a good jacket but I was between the Maclarensis… it was scrapped for tomorrow.
