Beijing/Reuters – China has begun training joint forces, naval forces and missiles around Taiwan as a “severe warning” against secession, calling Taiwan’s president “Ching-Te” when Taiwan sent warships to respond to the approach of China’s navy.
Training around the Democrat Island, which China sees as its own territory and never give up the use of force to bring its control, comes after Beijing called it “ho hostily foreign forces” last month.

“The importance of training such as war willingness in the sea and air, seizure of comprehensive control, naval and ground targets, and imposition of siege on major areas and roads,” the Eastern Theater Command said in a statement.
The Taiwanese government condemned training, and the presidential office said China “far widely by the international community is known as a problem” and the government has confidence and ability to defend itself.
The Taiwanese government has denied Beijing’s claim, saying only the people of the island could decide their future.
Two senior Taiwan officials told Reuters that more than 10 Chinese military ships were approaching nearly 24 miles of Taiwan and Taiwan sent its warships to respond.
But a US official said Taiwan had not identified any direct fire from the Chinese army.
Taiwan sends warships
The Taiwanese Defense Ministry said in a statement that China’s aircraft carrier was deployed to the island’s response area on Monday, saying it had sent military aircraft, ships and missile systems on the ground.
The exercises took place after US Secretary of Defense Pitt Hegeses left the region after visiting Japan and the Philippines, criticizing China, saying Japan had “administration” to combat Chinese aggression.
A Taiwan’s senior security official told Reuters that Beijing required to avoid any “conscious confrontation” with Washington before the US-China trade talks, and Taiwan has become an excuse.
“Taiwan is their best excuse. That’s why they have chosen to do such military exercises as soon as the US Secretary of Defense left Asia,” he said.
The US Embassy in practice, the US Institute in Taiwan, said the United States would continue to support the island.
“China has once again shown that the actor is not responsible and has no problems in threatening the security and welfare of the region,” a spokesman said in a statement.
“Close in”
The Chinese army has released a series of propaganda videos of the exercise quickly after the exercise, describing Chinese warships and Chinese warplanes surrounded by Taiwan, aimed at the top, and military vehicles surrounding the streets of the city.
A video of a poster that was a friend of the exercises called “Close of In” and showing the Chinese forces around the island, was posted on the Eastern Theater Command.
A video called “Shelll” came about, portraying the president as a green cartoon bag that creates parasites across the island, on WeChat’s page at the Eastern Theater Command.
“Thaiwan’s parasite poison is an island of drilling island outside.
Taiwan’s Defense Minister Wellington Coo said such talks were not suitable for peace and “homospying their exciting character,” when asked about cartoons describing it.
A third video called “Subdu Demons and Vanquish Evils”, Sun Wonkong, King of the magical monkey in Epic Ming Ming “Tour to the West” was released as described in the video game “Black Legend: Wu Kong”
The video, which runs over the screen, is a Chinese legendary warrior on the clouds before it cuts into videos of Chinese warplanes.
“Teachers and joint trainings conducted by the Eastern Theater of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) around the island of Taiwan are an unwilling punishment for the ‘independent”s authorities,” said Zhu Feglian, spokesman for the Taiwanese Office in China.
The Taiwanese Kuwa told reporters that it should first focus on resolving its problems with corruption instead of destroying peace and stability in the region.
China’s army has been sacked in October 2024, with former Defense Minister Li Shangvo sacked.
China’s Defense Ministry did not immediately respond to its request to comment on the statements.
Taiwan’s security sources said China is trying to distract its troops with training as a way to keep its troops busy talking about suppressing corruption among themselves on the base.
China’s coast guard also said he would also participate in the exercises and said he would “prepare, arrest, prevent and arrest operations against unjustified ships” to show “black power” over Taiwan.
The Global Times, owned by the Chinese Communist Party’s daily newspaper, said the exercise was not given the name of a code to show that Chinese military forces around the island “mail become normal,” referring to Zhang at the National Defense University.
