Chelsea predict game in Ipswich

When Ipswitch Town beat Chelsea 2-0 on December 30, one of the shocks of the season was considered a blow to the Blues’ hopes and drew against the tractor boys.

The away form has long been qualified for the Champions League, starting at fourth on the weekend, four points from sixth in Manchester City.

“We were more interested in getting these three points more than us on that day,” Chelsea manager Inzu Mareska said.

“I still remember the game and if we had a lot of chances to score, they really defended it. They are very good,” he said.

Ipswich followed the victory with two points from 10 games, just again at Bournemouth on April 2 before being beaten at Wolves at home on Saturday, leaving Keyran McCain on the verge of descending.

“I’m still happy here after taking the lead last season,” McCain said after last season.

“This year, it was always a challenge that it would have been one of the reasons I wanted to stay.

“I felt the right thing, as I said several times, the club has a bright future in many different ways,” he said.

“This is a high-level club, regardless of the possibility – you can say it’s a possible step – this year. There is still a great potential to take some big steps in the next few years, so I’m very happy to be part of that.

McCain has said Liam Delap, the club’s links to the clubs, including Chelsea, has taken a “realely kick” against Wolves and has missed training this week.

Worst striker Omar Hachinsson has missed his last two games and is still doubtful, while Wis Burnzy Wece Bern, Chidos Ogeni, Samuel Szesmodix and Arijanet Morich are all available for a long time.

Chelsea defender Wesley Fufana will miss the season after the surgery, but midfielder Romeo Lavia and striker Mark Gueo will be able to return before the end of the season.

Mareska may rotate its starting line-up after Mark Kukulala, Levi Coloel, Inzue Fernandez, Moyes Caesaso and Nicolas Jackson on the bench to beat Legia Warsaw in the first leg of the Europa League on Thursday.
