“Continue” was the word that Bompastor used several times to shorten the Chelsea campaign but not easy.
Although the former Lyon president has taken steps to the big shoes left by Emma Hayes, Squad has gone through what they described as a “case transition season,” the bed for new players and adapting to the new manager’s style.
Hais himself was one of the first to congratulate Chelsea, posting on Instagram that their achievements are “so that’s so worthy.
The results were immaculate but not the levels – with a difference of one goal in 10 occasions and four consecutive times this season.
Of their 56 goals, 17 came in the last 15 minutes (30.4% of the total), and eight scoring.
Between January 26 and March 2, they scored two points and won four consecutive games by a 1-1 win over a row that they were forced to perform.
“Sometimes it’s difficult to describe my feelings,” Bompastor says. From the beginning of the season to the end, we have had the right mentality.
“We continued even when the shows weren’t the best – we always found a way to win and get the three points.
“I think the game we had against Arsenal (in January) was when we began to understand that we were in a good position to win the league,” he said.
“The second part of the season was more difficult because we weren’t so dominant that we wanted to do it,” he said.
“For me, it’s a great achievement because we were able to continue, without defeat, it has a lot of meaning in this course, because it’s really competitive.
The Chelsea’s title was generally never doubted because they clearly ended 12 points with 19 wins and three draws.
Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City won six of their six games against the other four.
The only time they have gone on points were in three draws against Leicester (1-1), Brighton (2-2) and West Ham (2-2).
As in the past five years, the best team in England remains.
