Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes has signed a new five-year deal at Molinex.
The Brazilian’s new contract also includes another year’s choice.
Gomes joined Boyhe Flamengo in 2023 and has made 80 appearances for Wolves, including 31 this season.
The 24-year-old has scored four goals this season and Wolves are 17th in the Premier League, nine points behind the relegation.
“I’m very happy because he is a team player. Every time he gives 100 percent, in training, and he has quality to help this team and the club to take the next step,” Pereira said.
“At the end of the game, he has given everything to the team, he will defend, attack, support his team-mates. This is what we need in our team. This is the spirit we need at this club,” he said. We have to come to Wolverhampton with this hunger, this spirit to help the team, the club to help the club to grow.
“He’s very important because he has a midfielder, physical and has the power to run for 90 minutes.
