I don’t even know when the Carabao Cup final left Wembley after the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.
With my son Will and my daughter Chlue, we went straight from the stadium at the boxpark in Wembley Wayi and her party with Newcastle players and hundreds of fans celebrate.
The championship – and beer – was spilled for everyone and was a surprising evening, the kind that you just want to end. No one wanted to go home and, for the first time, I didn’t bother to wake up the next day with a fan.
Everyone was at a high level, and I’m still feeling fully feeling that Newcastle eventually brought a big trophy and that reaction.
You can see some of the pictures taken that night, external I have received the medal of the winner Mark Gillispian and the team has taken the trophy home, but that’s the most special part of all this, because it’s something that many of us hadn’t experienced before before.
Some elderly people may have had in 1969 when Newcastle won the exhibition cup, but I am 54 years old and anyone in my age had no time.
It was something new, and it was bright, and it is not over yet.
I will be at a high level for a few days because I haven’t celebrated – it’s an international holiday so I haven’t found a job for several days. The party will continue for me – the same thing that goes back to Newcastle.
Football is everyone’s life there, and you have a good week or a bad week according to the result every weekend.
The win means everyone will have good weeks – the fact that Newcastle will not play again until April
