The New York City has added a quarterback, but it’s not the one that people may wait. According to NFL Media, the club have agreed a two-year deal with veterans via signal, James Winston, according to NFL Media. The contract is worth $8 million. Even Winston himself confirmed the deal on social media.

Of course, the immediate question after the signing is whether there is any impact on the possibility of following Aaron Rodgers, who is after visiting the Pittsburg Steelers on Friday. Along with the Pittsburg, the giants were one of the main teams that are related to Rodgers as an agent and the time of this deal (the same day Rodgers visits with Steelers) is interesting.

However, as NFL indicates, the addition of Winston does not prevent the organization from monitoring other quarterbacks, neither through the Free Agency (such as Rodgers) or NFL Draft (Shedeur Sanders) with the third general option. If the club decides to be a draft in the first stage in quarterback, Winston could, in theory, as a bridge quarterback to serve the beginning of the year, and can control the controls whenever the horizon (sanderz) is likely to succeed.

The giants were on the market throughout the season for an ancient quarback. While Winston gives them extra experience in the post, the same ceilings such as Matthew Stafford (which decided to stay with Los Angeles Rams) and Rodgers (who remains a free agent) do not come.

Considering the nature of the Winston contract (at a total of $8 million), it appears to be a spare part of the rankings. Before the deal, a single quar-back was in New York’s deep chart Tommy Deveto.

Winston still really gives another to the giants that he has a starting experience. The 31-year-old has played 87 games during his career, with Cleveland Browns kicking off last year. In 2015, he made 70 games for his career as Tampa Bay Buchaners and 70 games for his career. Winston has 86.4 passes to leave with 24,225, 154 Pass and 111 years in 10 years.
