Ruben Amurim claimed Manchester United would be seen in a different way if they win in the Europa League final against Tottenham.
After taking over in Eric Ten Hag in November, Amorim has overseen most of the worst Premier League season in United’s history, which they can not end in 14th place.
But victory over Tottenham in Bilbao on Wednesday will save the campaign by giving them a big and more important qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
Returning to the top of the UEFA desk will raise a huge financial rise in financial and offer an additional stimulus to join the club.
But Amurim believes a change in view of United and feeling the club will be the most important outcome of the Europa League glory.
“People look at our team in a different way, they can help us build a future.
“Our club can have a income without the Champions League,” he said. It’s a big club, a big club, but a winning feeling can help give us the strength we need to do everything we need.”
Despite the unpleasant form of the United Premier League, it enjoys the sound support from fans and apparently supports United.
Asked why he was not under any pressure, Amurim replied: “It’s strange because you have some coaches here who lose some games and have been sacked… It’s hard to explain.
“I think people are trying to do what to do. I think people sometimes think more about the club than myself,” he said.
“People understand, especially the board, that we have many questions that are really difficult in the context.
But Amurim knows that even his first trophy as United could not be more visible on the cracks this season.
“There are many things we need to change,” he said.
“We will do everything in caringtons, employment, academy. It’s difficult to mention one thing and won’t be solved by winning the cup.
