
According to court documents, an El Paso man was arrested after police found his 3-year-old daughter in a car alone while drinking in a bar.
El Paso County prison records show Alan Alberto Najera Melendez, 28, on charges of quitting or threatening a child to return.

‘I want my father’
El Passo police officers responded to a report that a alone child was found in a car that was found at about 1:13 am in the garage of Sports, located in the 8,041-empts north of Maysa.
The officers arrived at the parking lot and began searching for the car. Minutes later, the 3-year-old girl found the 2023 Kia’s 2023 black spirit in a car chair. Kia was turned off and the doors were opened.

The officers opened the door and asked the girl whether it was good. The swearing-in document states that the girl’s tears were walking on her face, with mucus around her nose. “I want my father,” he told his officers.
It was taken out of the car chair and given to the El Passo firefighting medical teams to evaluate it. The officers and firefighters entered the bar and began searching for the father with the help of the director general of the bar.
The employers told the officers that two people had fled the front door of the bar. The officers saw that Najra was walking outside the bar. They asked him why he left his daughter alone in the car. He replied that he must use the toilet.
The swearing-in documents said the officers smelled “an unknown alcohol from the breath of Najra, the document. Najra was placed in a handkerchief because he was allegedly trying to leave.
The director general of the shipment told Najra’s officers and another person, who was not in court documents, told the officers that Najra had been hidden in the toilet at about 12:30 am because the officers were looking for him. The man’s director general said Najra and the other person had about three alcoholic beverages in the bar.

The officers contacted the person who first reported the abandoned child. The correspondent said he arrived at around 11 pm and heard a baby crying. He saw two men looking for something in the car.
The reporter left the bar about 12:10 am and saw his daughter alone as he saw her in the car. He has contacted emergency services to announce the incident.
The swearing-in document says the officers took the girl to the police station and later released her to her mother, who is currently surveilling her.
Najra was registered on March 16 on a $30,000 deal. He was imprisoned on Friday, March 21, showing prison logos.
