Club World Cup: FIFA rejects Lyon

FIFA’s appeals committee on Friday announced that Lyon excluded the 2025 World Cup in the 2025 World Cup because of the rules of the tournament.

Both clubs, which are dedicated to Group Puchuka, first won the Concacaf Championship with a different edition of the Concacaf Cup.

“According to Article 10, paragraph 4 of the 2025 World Cup rules, FIFA has determined that Lyon will be removed from the company, as well as the club as a replacement that will be announced on time,” FIFA said in a statement.

“We are dissatisfied with this decision and we will appeal because all the evidence that proves our administrative independence has been temporarily and transparent,” the group said. “We will defend what they have achieved on the pitch,” he said.

“We are not in favor of this decision, which we use with the top sports authorities until the last example, because all the documents show our administrative and sports independence we have provided opportunities and transparency.

Groupo Pachuka has said they will appeal the decision.

FIFA secretary-general was responsible for the decision to remove Lyon from the tournament.

Article 10 of the 2025 FIFA ownership rules states: “No one or a legal person may affect more than one club to participate in the competition, control or influence it.

It is unclear which club Kocakaf will replace Lyon in the next tournament.

La Liga side Deportiva Al-Jawense have won the most votes in the face of both Paçuka and Lyon in the Club World Cup.
